Our Mission Statement
The Outlaws of Yuma is a non-profit western reenactment group, struggling to keep the old west alive by recreating history, a history that is based on fact, fiction and legends, a history that should not be forgotten.
Who We Are
We are a non-profit western reenactment group, we were founded May 20, 2004. We started out with just 4 memers from another group and grew from there at 15 strong and growing, are very first shows were at Korrin's country corner which is no longer there. We are active volunteers with the American Legion Post #19, American Legion 40/8 Train and Cub scout pack # 19. We are seasonal at Yuma Park & Swap and other local organizations around Yuma including see us at the Local Parades from Yuma, Wellton, Somerton & San Luis We were voted Yuma's Best Local Artist for 2005 and 2nd place for 2006.
We are always looking for new members
The Outlaws of Yuma are looking for all Desperrados, Cowpokes, Gun Slingers, Card Sharks, Town People and Soiled Doves. Who would like to be old west reenactors, and are willing to put on their western duds and come on out and have some fun.
Our Time Period
Our time period is 1865 to 1905, We dress in period western clothing, Dialogue, Clothing, Accessories, Shoes are permitted from that era. Competiton skits they look for 100% period. We go for the go out and have fun and close to period has we can. Our characters are not based on actural characters we all kind of come up with our own character and story that the character from history. We practice a safe shooting distance with our black firing guns, even with our cap guns even though they are toys we still show proper safe shooting distance.
